FuelAlert

No Fuel? Spot It. Report It. Help Others.

About FuelAlert.io

A free, community-powered fuel outage tracker built to help people find fuel when they need it most.

What is FuelAlert?

FuelAlert.io is a free, crowdsourced fuel outage and shortage tracker. When fuel supply disruptions hit — whether from natural disasters, supply chain issues, refinery outages, or panic buying — finding a station that actually has fuel becomes a real challenge.

FuelAlert solves this by letting the community report fuel availability in real-time. Anyone can open the map, see which stations have fuel, which are running low, and which are completely dry. No login required, no app to download, completely free.

How it works:

  • Open the live map and see fuel stations near you, colour-coded by status
  • Tap any station to see its latest report — fuel types available, prices, queue length
  • Hit the report button to update a station's status and help others in your area
  • Filter by fuel type (Unleaded 91, E10, Premium 95/98, Diesel, LPG) or station status
  • Use the heatmap view to spot outage clusters at a glance

FuelAlert covers fuel stations across Australia (including Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and regional areas), New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and is expanding to more regions. Fuel price data is sourced from government APIs including WA FuelWatch, NSW FuelCheck, and the UK Fuel Finder.

About the Developer

FuelAlert is built and maintained by an independent developer. No corporate backing, no investors, no data harvesting — just one person building tools to help the community.

The idea for FuelAlert came from firsthand experience during fuel supply disruptions — driving from station to station, finding empty pumps, wasting time and fuel in the process. There had to be a better way. If people could share what they're seeing at the pump in real-time, everyone benefits.

FuelAlert is built with a focus on:

  • Privacy first — no accounts, no tracking, no personal data collected. Reports are completely anonymous.
  • Speed — the site is lightweight and fast, even on slow mobile connections. No bloated app stores.
  • Accessibility — works on any device with a browser. No downloads, no sign-ups, no paywalls.
  • Community — every report helps someone else. The more people contribute, the more useful it becomes for everyone.

This is a passion project maintained in spare time alongside a full-time job. Every bit of support — whether it's submitting a fuel report, sharing FuelAlert with friends, or making a small donation — makes a real difference in keeping this project alive and free for everyone.
